PCA Awards 2008
Clients of JWA received two significant awards at the prestigious Property Council of Australia & Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards for 2008. The awards were announced at a Gala Dinner in Melbourne on 24 May 2008.



2008 Award for Innovation and Excellence in Public Buildings

Nominated by the University of South Australia, the Kaurna Building designed by John Wardle Architects won the Innovation and Excellence in Public Buildings Award for 2008. This building houses the university's Schools of Art and Architecture, the South Australian School of Art Gallery and their Architecture Museum whilst creating a new address for the university within the city of Adelaide. The judging criteria included effective financial investment, design quality and innovation, user satisfaction, corporate social responsibility and community perception.



Highly Commended for the Rider Levett Bucknall Property Investment Award - Office

The Industry Superannuation Property Trust nominated The Urban Workshop which received a Commendation for the Rider Levett Bucknall Property Investment Award - Office. This development includes a high rise office tower with an innovative floorplate profile and a highly detailed podium of rich materiality that refers to the complex history and archaeology of its site. John Wardle Architects led the design for this project and this award aims to publicly reward the efficient use of capital in a new office or commercial development.
